Koshi-Waza 腰技
Hip Techniques
Koshi-Waza are throwing techniques where the thrower's hip acts as the primary fulcrum. Tori turns in and places their hip in front of and below uke's hip, loading uke's body weight over the hip lever, then rotating to project uke forward and over. O-Goshi is the archetypal beginner technique that establishes the hip throw template.
